Meditations in the Year of the Priest

"I know my own soul, how feeble and puny it is; I know the magnitude of this ministry, and the great difficulty of the work; for more stormy billows vex the soul of the priest than the gales which disturb the sea.  And all men are ready to pass judgment on the priest as if he was not a being clothed with flesh, or one who inherited a human nature.  He who honors a purist, honors Christ, and he who insults a priest, insults Christ."

St. John Chrysostom

"O My God, I firmly believe that You are one God in three Divine Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; I believe that Your Divine Son became Man, and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead.  I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches because You have revealed them, Who can neither deceive nor be deceived."
